Preacher Vladimir Solovyov came under fire a few days ago after he insulted blogger Victoria Bonya over her appeal to Vladimir Putin. Social network users began shaming Solovyov (who had repeatedly insulted women before), calling for his work to be “cancelled” and demanding an apology. However, the preacher not only did not apologize to Punia but also did not stop insulting women. On his live show on April 21, he called Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni a “prostitute” and a “fascist creature.” They reacted to this in Rome: the Russian ambassador was summoned to the Italian Foreign Ministry, and Meloni herself responded to Solovyov on the social network X. After that, the Russian Foreign Ministry actually began to protect propaganda – and he himself continued to attack the Italian Prime Minister.
Vladimir Solovyov (Live on “Soloviev Live”):
[…]. This Meloni is a fascist creature who betrayed her voters because she ran with completely different slogans. Well, betrayal is her middle name. She also betrayed Trump, to whom she had previously sworn allegiance.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani (On the social network X):
I ordered Russian Ambassador Paramonov to be summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to express his official protest following the extremely dangerous and insulting statements made by presenter Vladimir Solovyov on Russian television regarding Giorgi Meloni.

George Meloni (On the social network X)
By nature, the zealous promoter of order cannot teach lessons either in terms of consistency or freedom. But these cartoons will certainly not change our ways. We, unlike others, have no conditions, no masters, and no orders.
Our compass remains one: Italy’s interests. We will continue to follow it with pride, much to the chagrin of propagandists around the world.

Russian Ambassador to Italy Alexei Paramonov (On social networks):
Once again, Italian diplomats “hit the bar” by summoning me to the Italian Foreign Ministry to make allegations regarding alleged attacks by Moscow on […] George Meloni.
The current reason for summoning to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is difficult to consider generally accepted in diplomatic practice – the words of a famous Russian journalist, even if very talented and popular, were expressed on his own Internet channel.

Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova (In the press conference):
When they insult our country, and this is done at the level of government representatives, not only is this not normal from their point of view, but we do not even have the right to feel any dissatisfaction. If we express them, our ambassador will be recalled.
And when, on our part, neither statesmen nor diplomats, but public figures and journalists, express their feelings because of Italy […] It strongly supports the Kyiv regime […]This is a reason to summon the Russian ambassador. This is no longer double standards, this is the absence of a standard.

Vladimir Solovyov (In the Telegram channel):
Ms. Meloni, this is the person speaking to you who has once again been persecuted by the Italian authorities – a Jew. This has happened more than once in Italian history. Not a preacher, but a Jew and an anti-fascist, addressing you, followers of the fascist Mussolini […]. You, sharing Mussolini’s views, participate in all the crimes of Fascist Italy, and must, according to the logic of things, bear responsibility for them. In any case, you show your sympathy for these crimes by supporting the Nazi Ukrainian state […]. And when you respond to me personally, always keep this in your mind.
