All World Cup semi-final ties have been decided

All participants in the semi-final stage of the FIFA World Cup, held in the USA, Canada and Mexico, have become known. The last quarter-final matches were held on Sunday night, July 12, Moscow time.

France and Spain will meet in the first semi-final on July 14 in Dallas. The next day in Atlanta, England and world champions Argentina will play to reach the final.

The current World Cup is being held for the first time with the participation of 48 teams simultaneously in three countries.

The final match of the tournament will be held on July 19. The Argentine national team remains the current winner of the World Championship.

After the completion of the current World Cup, FIFA may consider increasing the number of participants in the tournament to 64 teams. This was announced by the organization’s president, Gianni Infantino.

Earlier it became known that the European Football Association may prevent the return of Russian teams to the international arena due to pressure from the football federations of England, Germany and France.
