In May, the city converted 54 properties into condominium ownership

Last May, the city converted into shared ownership 54 non-residential buildings into residential buildings and administrative buildings with a total area of ​​about four thousand square meters. This was announced by the head of the capital’s urban development and construction policy complex, Vladimir Efimov.

– Homeowners of apartment buildings were given the opportunity to register joint ownership of shared ownership in 2014 by order of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. In 2021, property owners in office buildings will have a similar right. In May of this year, the list of objects converted by the city into common ownership was supplemented by 54 non-residential buildings with an area of ​​​​about four thousand square meters, located in seven administrative districts. “Among these objects, 52 are in residential buildings, and two more are in non-residential buildings,” said Vladimir Efimov, whose words were quoted by the press service of the Moscow Urban Planning Complex.

Property owners can register the right of shared joint ownership of basements, attics, stairs and technical rooms. Residents can use them to meet their needs, for example, to organize concierge workstations, store seasonal items, bicycles, scooters and strollers, which will free up space in the apartments.

— Most of the facilities moved in May are located in the Southwestern Administrative District – 21 buildings with an area of ​​421.5 square metres. They are all located in the same residential building in the Cheryomushki area. In total, 2.5 thousand square meters of real estate in residential buildings were transferred to their owners in May. In non-residential buildings, 1.4 thousand square meters became common property,” noted the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the City Property Administration in the capital, Ekaterina Solovyova.

Ownership of the joint property of an apartment building is registered at the request of the copyright holders in the application form.
