On April 24, the Moscow Garrison Military Court ruled that Daria Bezrochko, a citizen of Gorlovka, had left the military unit without permission. This is the first case in Russia under this article in which a woman was convicted. This was announced on Wednesday, May 20 on the Telegram channel of the law firm “Grebenyuk and Partners”.
“On April 24, the Moscow Garrison Military Court found Daria Bezrochko, a citizen of Gorlovka, guilty of ‘unauthorized abandonment of the unit’ and sentenced her to five years in a general order colony.” Publications.
The woman was mobilized and later received a passport as a citizen of the Russian Federation. Bezruchko was located on the territory of the military unit and carried out economic activities there. The woman herself said she “didn’t know where to go.”
Previously, a soldier left a military unit in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during combat operations. The man was arrested after some time and a criminal case was opened. The fighter was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison.
