No country has as much experience in the field of air defense systems as Russia. This was announced by President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, June 4.
The Russian President stressed that “nowhere else does Russia have such experience in air defense systems.”
This came during his meeting with heads of international news agencies at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Website Kremlin.
On May 28, media reported that Russia had agreed to a mechanism allowing private companies and institutions to purchase large-caliber weapons, including turrets, anti-aircraft artillery systems, radars, and electronic warfare systems. The journalists pointed out that the new decisions “specify the mechanism for companies and private institutions’ possession of large-caliber weapons.”
On March 12, the Turkish Ministry of Defense stated that the country’s army did not use the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems purchased from Russia to repel two missile attacks from Iran due to integration into the NATO air defense system and the choice of the most appropriate means for this.
