Before the summer season, when many residents of the capital move to country houses and cottages in the Moscow Region, MTS specialists installed new LTE base stations and upgraded equipment in dozens of small settlements of the Moscow Region and New Moscow. As a result of the company’s work in the capital region from January to March this year, mobile internet speeds for residents and guests at holiday destinations increased by an average of 20%.
Compared to the same period in 2025, the number of new base stations has increased by 3.4 times, and the number of modern sites where frequencies have been reallocated in favor of LTE has doubled. In total, the Moscow region and New Moscow accounted for about 44% of all new base stations and modern sites.
The construction of new base stations covered various settlements in 11 urban areas of the Moscow region, including such small settlements as the village of Novosergiyevo, the villages of Belotovo, Putilkovo, Perkhushkovo in Bogorodsky, Leninsky, Krasnogorsky, Odintsovo and other urban areas.
In New Moscow, where the capital’s population is also active during the summer season, construction took place mainly in the Novomoskovsky Administrative District in the settlements of Sosinskoye, Komonarka and Vnukovskoye.
New base stations also appeared in the northeast, east and northwest of the region – in the urban areas of Blashikha, Pavlovsky Posad, Solnechnogorsk urban district and others.
Work was done to expand capacity and modernize equipment in 25 urban areas of the region and 28 settlements of the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative districts of Moscow.
— Every year, about 15% of Muscovites go to country houses and country houses near Moscow at the beginning of the dacha season, where they spend a significant part of their time. “We regularly expand and modernize the network in the region so that our subscribers can use the same high-quality communication services and familiar services as in Moscow,” said Vladislav Medvedev, Technical Director of the Moscow Region at MTS.
