Singer Bonnie Tyler – Medusa dies

British pop singer Bonnie Tyler has died at the age of 75.

She has been hospitalized in the Portuguese city of Faro since May, where she underwent emergency intestinal surgery. In connection with the operation, the singer was placed in an artificial coma. In mid-June, Tyler was brought out of her coma, but remained in serious condition.

A statement published on the singer’s website said that she died unexpectedly the night before in the hospital, where she continued treatment. Tyler was hospitalized on the eve of a planned concert tour in the summer.

Bonnie Tyler rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s with hits such as “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” “Hold Out for a Hero” and “It’s a Heartache.” The singer has 18 studio albums, the latest of which is “The Best is Yet to Come,” released in 2021.
