Roskomnadzor did not include the site in a special register of prohibited information, the agency’s press service told TASS.
The day before it became known that the Chertanovsky Court in Moscow was held on April 23 decided Identification of information published on the websites “YaPlakal”, anekdotovstreet.com and anekdoto.net as prohibited for distribution in Russia.
The Attorney General’s Office filed a lawsuit. The agency stated that these sites published materials that “can be described as insulting to human dignity, and also aim to discriminate and insult people on the basis of nationality and race.” What exactly information became the basis of the lawsuit was not specified in the court decision.
RKN reported that it received the court’s decision on May 6. However, the administration did not include “YaPlakal” in the register, because the court did not indicate specific substances considered prohibited. Roskomnadzor promised to send a request to the court to clarify certain pages of the site containing prohibited information.
