A Moscow court ordered the market to return more than 139,000 rubles to a woman after her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter mistakenly placed an order to buy 102 products through a mobile application. RIA Novosti wrote about this on Sunday, June 7, referring to the materials of the case.
After submitting the application, Muscovites tried to cancel it, but it was rejected. The company explained this by saying that the goods have already been transported for assembly and shipping. Later, when the order was not received and the storage period expired, the market debited the funds from the customer’s bank card and placed a negative balance on her personal account.
The trial lasted for several years. As a result, the court declared that it was illegal to refuse to cancel the order before the goods arrived at the delivery point. It was also found that the woman announced immediately after submitting the application that she wanted to refuse the purchase.
The market was charged the cost of the goods, compensation for moral damages, a fine and notary expenses. The court confirmed that the company’s refusal was in violation of the “Consumer Rights Protection” law. The decision has not yet entered into force, and can be appealed, according to reports an agency.
Before that, a resident of the capital ordered a printer in the market for almost 90 thousand rubles. Instead of the expected goods, he received bottles of water. Muscovites contacted the seller, who apologized for the inconvenience caused. However, the order collection point refused to accept the bottle box. How the situation developed and whether the buyer was able to recover the money is in the material of Evening Moscow.
