The Russian Ministry of Justice declared philosopher and linguist Mikhail Epstein a “foreign agent.”
Epstein (76 years old), the author of more than 50 books and more than a thousand articles and essays, lives in the United States. how Notes Radio Liberty condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In addition to Epstein, the list of “foreign agents” included Free Russia Foundation project coordinator Anton Mikhalchuk, activists Yevgeny Malyugin and Andrey Agapov, biologist Igor Efimov, as well as the Cypriot news source Cypress Daily News.
The basis for inclusion in the register, according to the Ministry of Justice, were calls to violate the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, the publication of “false information” about the Russian government and materials from other “foreign agents”.
