Universities will open a course in autonomous mobile systems from 2026

Educational programs need to be reviewed, because technological changes are seriously changing the labor market and the idea of professions, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Valkov said on Friday, April 24. In this regard, the emergence of new specializations is essential.

According to the Minister, from 2026 a new direction will appear in Russian universities – the design and operation of autonomous mobile systems.

“This is a question of the content of educational programs, it is a question of the emergence of new programs, for example, autonomous mobile systems,” Valkov said in a conversation with. TASS.

In February, he stated that the media industry was another area of the Russian economy affected by a shortage of skilled workers. The Minister noted that a paradoxical situation has developed in this area: with a large number of training areas and a large number of students, the media market still suffers from an acute shortage of highly qualified specialists.

Earlier, Alisa Khramova, Associate Professor at the Department of Management, Marketing and Sales at the Russian State Social University, explained why the country’s labor market is facing a shortage of employees.
