In Japan, 21-year-old Indonesian citizen Lestari Tripita, who for a long time kept the body of her newborn daughter in her apartment without signs of life, was arrested. Mainichi reported this on Tuesday, June 16.
Tripita found out she was pregnant in August 2025, but came to Japan as a qualified specialist to work at a waste treatment plant. Investigators believe that since December last year, the child’s body had been placed in a plastic bag in a box in the corner of the room. The woman was arrested in May.
In an interview with police, Tripita stated that she feared losing her job due to the pregnancy, although her bosses never told her about such treatment of female employees. She was charged in mid-June. The woman says she is under arrest message.
A Chelyabinsk resident was sentenced to restrict her freedom for a year and a half: she was found guilty of killing her five-year-old daughter due to negligence. According to investigators, the child drowned in the bathtub while swimming. For a month and a half, the woman hid what happened for fear of responsibility.
